President's Message -January 2014

In 2013 the Madigan Foundation was able to grow its resources, maintain or expand assistance programs, and answer special identified needs consistent with our mission. Largely, this is because our roles as a trusted recipient of donations and as an advocate for improvement are respected and growing. Summary data of your Foundation’s achievements for the past year will be listed on the web site. Please visit www.madiganfoundation.org.

Presidents Message - Spring 2013

A mix of milestones, achievements and successes are much in my mind as I reflect on Board activities over the very busy past few months. For starters, the Madigan Foundation completed its 18th year of formal existence this April, 2013. Our charter program of car seats and strollers for needy military families with newborns or very young children is still doing its good work – now, with the able assistance of Army Community Service.

Impact on Patients and Families - 2012

  • Paid for over 1000 hours of childcare for families with behavioral health appointments
  • Purchased  74 eyeglasses and  27 car seats and strollers for family members needing assistance
  • Provided at least 2030 meals for nursing mothers of infants hospitalized at Madigan AMC

Fishermen Salute WTB Soldiers and Families

The Alaska Scallop Association and Alaska Crab Coalition partnered for another fantastic event June 18, 2010, at the Washington State Patrol Hangar in Olympia. This event provides recognition and celebration for our Warrior Transition Battalion (WTB) members and their families and supports organizations including the Madigan foundation.
